Oil and gas giants present investments and opportunities during MEC SHOW 2019
13 de janeiro de 2020MEC SHOW ON reúne oportunidades de negócios e investimentos no setor industrial
22 de junho de 2021The metalworking industry in Espírito Santo represents more than 60% of supplies to local industrial complexes and has annual revenues of over R $ 8 billion, half of that amount in business with other states and countries. There are 1,200 companies that generate 24,000 jobs.
With a view to increasing the sector’s competitiveness, in 1988, with the support of Vale and ArcelorMittal, the Capixaba Metalmechanical Development Center (Cdmec) was founded within an initiative of the Bandes to create Sectoral Technology Centers. In the same year, Bandes also created CTs for the marble and granite, clothing, coffee and software sectors.
Among the activities conducted by Cdmec is the Innovation Diagnosis of the Metalworking Sector, conducted annually with the support of Sebrae, Ifes, partners, maintainers, supporter Sicoob and, especially, our associates. The diagnosis will be launched during the MEC SHOW, a trade fair for the metalworking segment, on August 6, at the Carapina Convention Center.
Innovation is the most widely used business strategy in the world to develop competitive advantage, enabling the manufacture of new products and processes with unreachable performance by competitors in the short term and sometimes providing structural changes in markets.
Sometimes we are not aware of ourselves, but often, Espírito Santo companies have been awarded nationally and internationally for innovation.
Espírito Santo is on its way to becoming a center of reference in some sectors and, with the support of various actions and development agents, the metalworking segment is also part of this journey.
A recent example was the approval by the Capixaba Mobilization for Innovation – MCI of the project “Acceleration of Technological Innovation in the Metal and Oil and Gas sectors”, which aims to encourage the adoption of innovative practices in both segments. The project will be funded by Funcitec / MCI, State Fund for Science and Technology.
Cdmec will be present at MEC SHOW 2019 with its booth coordinating Innovation Island. It will also be possible to attend the 18th Instrumentation, Systems, Electrical and Automation Seminar and Exhibition – ISA SHOW ES and ES Oil & Gas, which will be attended by participants from other states / countries and sponsored by the Vitória Development, Innovation and Tourism Company (CDV). . The fair will be a great opportunity to see and get to know the Espírito Santo companies that are seasoning and cooking this technological moqueca.
