13 de janeiro de 2020Representatives of the main players of the oil and gas sector in Brazil presented to Espírito Santo suppliers the opportunities and investments in Espírito Santo on the afternoon of Wednesday (07), in a lecture during the 12th MEC SHOW – Metalmechanics + Industrial Innovation Fair. The panel was attended by Petrobras, Shell, Equinor, as well as the National Petroleum Industry Organization (Onip) and the State Secretariat of Development (Sedes), within the program of Espírito Santo Oil & Gas.
Ricardo Morais, general manager of Petrobras in the state, provided a current overview of the company’s activities and planned investments in 2019-2023, which total $ 68.8 billion in exploration, production development (of which 56% in pre-salt and 44% in the post) and infrastructure.
“We are investing in the redistribution of platforms to integrate similar fields and reduce operational complexity. The Espírito Santo unit, for example, will now manage the Albacora, Albacora Leste and Campo de Roncador fields in the Rio de Janeiro Sea. All of this is part of adapting our portfolio to the highest return projects, ”he said.
Morais also praised the state companies and noted that suppliers are preparing for the global hiring trend. “We brought MEC SHOW four new technologies to discuss and improve with the market. And Petrobras’ goal is, increasingly, to put the proposals so that we can develop together with the suppliers and, thus, apply them in our operations, ”he said.
Shell’s Director of Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs, Flávio Rodrigues, also participated in the panel and presented some data from projects such as Parque das Conchas, which in 10 years of operation offshoreno state, completed last July, has already produced 160 million equivalent barrels of oil. “The opportunities in the oil and gas sector in Brazil are numerous, both pre and post salt, and Espírito Santo has a great capacity to be increasingly evident in this market,” he said.
Second largest operator in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas in Brazil and with the ambition of becoming an energy company in the coming years, Equinor also presented opportunities for the capixabas suppliers during the fair. Contract and supply coordinator Ariane Carvalho announced that the company will invest more than $ 15 billion in Brazil by 2030.
“We have 20 projects in our current portfolio and the ambition is to deliver them by 2030 while maintaining high value and low carbon throughout the production chain. One of our projects is in partnership with Petrobras in the Roncador Field, with the objective of increasing the field’s production by up to 10%, ”said Ariane, who stressed that the company is looking for partners and suppliers to carry out projects.
Representing the State Government through the Secretariat of State for Development (Sedes), Claudio Madureira stressed that one of the main objectives of management is the focus on economic development, with the concern to try to minimize the impact of the game called “lose-lose”. ”- where companies and the state lose with obstacles as a complex tax structure, which causes a relationship of distrust between tax authorities and taxpayers.

One of the most visited places of MEC SHOW is Innovation Island, focused on stimulating the development of ideas that can help in industrial processes, with the presentation of prototypes, simulators and examples of new technologies that are transforming reality in Brazil and the world. world.

Also present at the event, Petrobras presents a robot programmed to paint large vertical flat surfaces, developed in partnership with the Senai Innovation Institute of Joinville. The system is a pioneer in the world and has the potential to paint a 300 m² surface in just one hour.
